1895 Lamp

A counterweighted pendant lamp — NABA Product Design Course, 2024

1895 is a lamp that has been designed specifically as an homage to an old lamp of my childhood. The original lamp featured a blue glass made shade and a system to adjust its height with the move of a dedicated counterweight. For the 1895 lamp I replicated elements like the counterweight and moved it above the lamp to ensure a better overall look. The shade has been extended and made out of two large pieces of stainless steel, fastened together with rivets.
