A messenger bag that doubles as a portable rest kit — NABA for FREITAG, 2026
The F11 BREAK is designed for messengers, bikers and all other people who regularly need a minute to rest.
It is designed for messengers, cyclists, and urban commuters — people who move through the city daily but rarely pause to settle into it. The project began with a simple observation: people don't carry blankets or pillows, so when they stop to sit on grass or pavement, they sacrifice their jacket as a barrier and dirty it in the process.
The design responds with two integrated features. A foldable tarp lives permanently attached to the bag, ready to deploy as a clean surface in seconds without requiring an extra item to remember or carry. A second mechanism allows the bag itself to prop upright, transforming into a headrest that supports a brief lie-down or longer pause in the park.
Together, these details turn an everyday carrier into a portable rest kit — extending the bag's role from transport to a small moment of recovery within urban routines.
